The Archdiocesan Human Life Committee

1. For mothers planning an abortion, for their spouses and doctors, that God may bring them to choose life.

2. For unwed mothers that they may be blessed with the wisdom and strength to go ahead with their pregnancies.

3. For parents who are expecting a child with a mental or physical abnormality, that God may give them the wisdom, courage and strength to accept the child.

4. For couples who do not have a child, that they may be blessed with a child.

5. For infertile couples that they may accept their state in life and find happiness in caring for the children of others.

6. For infertile couples, that they may not be lured into unethical procedures like IVF and surrogacy which objectify human life.

7. For all who care for newborn children, that they may recognize the miracles they witness

8. That those who promote abortions may come to the awareness of its grave consequences

9. For the health of mothers having a baby and for safe deliveries.

10. That teenagers should choose chastity as a way of life

11. For those couples using contraception that they may realise that it is against God’s will and also that these methods have untold medical and psychological side effects.

12. For rape victims

13. For persons who are intending rape that they may realise that what they are doing is gravely criminal.

14. For people filled with anger and revenge that they may find other ways to handle their feelings and not turn to violence and crime.

15. For those who are contemplating suicide.

16. That God may heal those who are trapped in the habit of pornography.

17. For those addicted to alcohol, drugs and other substances.

18. For those who are terminally ill, that they may find relief and peace in the care of those around them

19. For caregivers, that they may have the strength and courage to serve the sick and elderly with patience and compassion

20. For the sick and elderly that they may find compassion and love from their families and those who care for them.

21. For those who lived in ashrams and aged homes, that God may grant them solace in their fear and loneliness

22. For those who are about to die, that they may receive God’s mercy and pardon at the hour of their death and may move into the next life in peace and joy

23. That those who are suffering pain may find relief by joining their agony with Jesus on  the Cross.

24. For victims of domestic violence, battered and abused women, children and elders.

25. For people living in war-torn areas

26. For babies and children who have been abandoned by their parents.

27. For children who are malnourished.

28. For children who are victims of modern technology.

29. For orphaned children throughout the world, and especially those who are abused or neglected, that we might work to save them.

 30. For all children who have died from abortion, that God might cradle them in his arms and grant them eternal            peace with him;
